Want to create your blogs the EASY way?
And make sure you share them with your followers on every platform, and maximise their reach?
Here you are then, here’s a very simple spreadsheet idea to help you create, plan and rotate a whole year’s worth of blogs without the fuss, pain and grumbling.
Step 1: Brainstorm
Grab a piece of paper and a pen and write down 12 things you could talk about to your crowd. Think about the products and services you offer, the problems you solve and anything that demonstrates your expertise. These are going to be your monthly topics.
Step 2: Open a new Excel Spreadsheet
Create a worksheet that looks something like this, and transfer your 12 blog topics/themes to column 2:
Month | Topics/Theme for the Month | Blog Titles |
January | Productivity | |
February | Technology | |
March | Procrastination
April | Tasks to outsource
May | Organisation | |
June | Working with a VA |
Step 3: Second Brainstorm
Use these prompts to help you brainstorm some blog titles:
- How to ….
- 10 ways to …
- Why you need to … for your business/life/future
- Stop doing this and do this instead if you want to grow your biz
- The easy way to ……
- Insider tips to help you ….
As well as brainstorming these prompts, try and
- research quotes that you can transform into your own branded memes
- ask questions and answer them
- write ‘A day in the life of’
- create a blog using a case study and/or testimonial
Step 4: Almost there…
- Add your blog titles to the spreadsheet
Month | Topics/Theme for the Month | Blog Titles |
January | Productivity | 10 ways to be more productive |
February | Technology | Why I prefer this planning tool software over everything else |
March | Procrastination | Debunking the Procrastination Myth |
April | Tasks to outsource | 20 tasks to easily outsource to a VA |
May | Organisation | Getting organised for your summer break |
June | Working with a VA | Working with a VA the painless way |
Step 5: Get writing (obviously)
And tick them off your list.
Step 6: Your Rotation Checklist
Because you must share your blogs in as many places as possible, add an extra column to your spreadsheet that looks like this:
Blog Title | Platform |
10 ways to be more productive | o Website
o Facebook o Instagram o LinkedIn o Twitter |
Why I prefer this planning tool software over everything else
|
o Website
o Facebook o Instagram o LinkedIn o Twitter |
Once you’ve added them to each different platform, check them off your spreadsheet using the strikethrough function.
And that’s it.
Blogging doesn’t have to be a pain. All you need to do is plan a little more often.
